Being credited in many publications as one of the "Best Doctors in America", Dr. Lesser specializes in neuro-ophthalmology for The Eye Care Group. His hard work and dedication within the field of eye care is evident throughout his medical career from his numberous publications to his many written articles and textbook chapters.
Dr. Lesser's passion for medicine and helping others in the field of ophthalmology blossomed at Cornell University Medical College where he earned his medical degree after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Queens College, City University of New York. At Yale University, he completed his residency in ophthalmology in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. Furthermore, he extended his training in Neuro-Ophthalmology in Miami, Florida at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Lesser's appreciation towards medicine and its role within neuro-ophthalmology allows him to participate as a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmolgy and Visual Science and Neurology at Yale, as well as, a Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine for Neurology and Surgery. As a result, on two different times, Dr. Lesser was honored by the Yale Ophthalmology Department with their Teaching Award.
With the extent of his medical career credentials, Dr. Lesser has continued to lecture across the country and overseas as a fellow of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society and the Academy of Ophthalmology and past President of the Yale Alumni in Ophthalmology.
